Job Description:
We immediately require a Network and Support Engineer, graduate from reputable universities and having good communication skills with at least 1-2 years of related professional experience.
The responsibilities would includ...e the following:
· Provide technical support and assistance to internal networks and existing employees.
· Work across organization from time-to-time, to solve complex issues and follow reported problems through to their resolution.
· Respond to employees inquiries.
· Identify and resolve routine operational systems problems.
· Install and operate LAN, WAN and dial access services for operations.
· Manage project, plan and implement systems maintenance and administration.
· Troubleshoot networks and systems.
Skills Required:
· Excellent English written and verbal skills
· Excellent phone manners
· Firm grasp of how the web works, networking, and software products
· Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Development teams to resolve more advanced issues when necessary
· Resolving escalated user complaints without the need for team lead intervention
· Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
· Knowledge of Exchange Server, Lotus Notes and Linux Hosting Environment.
· Knowledge of Windows XP, Vista Windows 7, Linux and general desktop support issues
· Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, Domain Environment, Firewalls and other networking concepts
· Solid knowledge of internet protocols such as IMAP, POP3, STMP, SSH, FTP, SFTP & HTTP Ability to use diagnostic tools such as trace route, ping, and dig
· Knowledge of Web Sphere Administration would be a plus.
