Sr. Software Engineer SF CA
Contribute to projects using extensive experience with data stores (MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
Develop business critical product and platform functionality primarily in C and/or Python
Build and lead a small team of engineers developing critical new products and functionality
Prepare project plans, define key deliverables, and manage to milestone dates
Regularly interface with key stakeholders (product management, account management, support, documentation specialists, etc...)
Provide forward thinking and thought leadership on new project initiatives and technologies

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree (PhDs or PhD dropouts are a bonus)
Senior level experience with back-end services and data processing (7+ years)
Experience leading a team of engineers
Interest in and ability to work on tough scalability/ performance challenges for systems that handle terabytes of data
Extensive experience with data stores (MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
3 to 5+ years development experience with C/C++ and/or Python, and Linux

Sr API Engineer SF Ca
As an API engineer, you will have ownership of all external-facing APIs used by customers to communicate with Kontagent. Participate in the evolution of all APIs (including data collection, data querying, and management), take a hands-on role in implementing supporting libraries for these APIs in at least one language. You will need to balance the need for a simple, fast, and reliable interface process for customers with the needs of the engineering team.

BS or MS in Computer Science (PhD's or PhD a huge plus)

3+ years hard core development experience using JavaScript and at least one of the following languages: PHP, Python, Ruby
Understanding of network communication that allows you to make the appropriate API design trade-offs
Great verbal and written communication skills

Job Description:
Want to be part of one of the web's fastest growing hobbies? Ancestry.com is looking for an experienced Front End Web Developer to serve as a liaison between the Design and Development groups. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of JavaScript and will have the ability to take detailed mockups from the Design team and turn them into pixel-perfect, CSS-based static and dynamic HTML pages.

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
Generate pixel-perfect web pages from high fidelity mock ups created in Photoshop and Fireworks.
Assets to be regularly produced include product features, banners, landing pages, website pages and HTML/Text emails to promote our products and services.
The candidate will feel comfortable working with various individuals and groups including external creative agencies, internal creative teams, marketing, development, and UI and be passionate about combining great design and solid code.
Ability to hand-code semantic, efficient, standards-compliant XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Ability to effectively use JavaScript frameworks like YUI and jQuery libraries.
Appreciation for design, usability, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility concerns.
Serve as a liaison between the Design and Development groups, as well as the resident "expert" for all CSS, JavaScript, Flash, XHTML, and other Web questions and issues.
Your ability to interpret a mockup, attention to detail and ability to take ownership of key projects will be particularly important.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects at once.

Required Skills:
Sharp front-end programming HTML/XHTML, CSS and JavaScript skills combined with an eye for simplicity and user experience will serve as the foundation for success in this role.
Experience with Flash/ActionScript, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and other design tools will open up additional opportunities for handling fun and interesting work.
Some experience with C# and ASP.Net is desirable.
An educated and extensive knowledge of usability and interactive design demonstrated through your portfolio.
To ensure that Ancestry web interfaces look and perform as the concept design intends and are as smoothly delivered to the Development group as possible.

Provide regular SHA reporting and updates to share information as well to increase SHA visibility.
Ensure strong documentation and timely donor reporting.

Skills Required:
 Sound knowledge of Q & A initiatives, specifically HAP and Sphere
 Familiar with the use of Sphere and HAP, particularly in the field
 4-5 years experience in quality and accountability related work and capacity building in Pakistan
 Excellent training and facilitation skills in English and Urdu;
