Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Business University (TAGBU) in  Bahrain invites applications at all academic ranks for tenure-track visiting appointments starting in the fall 2011 semester. TAGBU is a private, world-class business university which aims at developing business leaders in the Arab world who can compete in the knowledge-based economy globally.


Faculty members are expected to provide academic leadership in undergraduate and post-graduate programs. They may also contribute to our executive education programs. We also expect our faculty to regularly contribute to the intellectual space by pushing in top journals in their discipline and engage with the international scholarly community.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for all faculty positions: Ph.D. in appropriate field with a proven record of good teaching and research.
Positions are available in the following disciplines:
A-Professor
Minimum 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
B-Associate Professor
Minimum 6 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.
 C-Assistant Professor
Minimum 3 years teaching/research/industrial experience exclusive period of PhD studies. Recent PhD graduates may be considered for appointment on a contract basis.

Mechanical Technician-Rotary (Field)
Profile: B-Tech or DAE in Mechanical Technology from an HEC recognized institution, 10 to 12 years experience in rotary equipments maintenance in hydrocarbon processing plants (fertilizer/oil & gas sector). Ability to read and understand maintenance and spare parts manuals, P & IDs and PFDs.
Instrument Technician (Field)
Profile: 3 years Diploma in instrumentation or Electronics  from an HEC recognized institution. Minimum 5 years experience in oil & gas or a large process industry. Competent in maintenance and troubleshooting of Electronic/HART and Pneumatic instrumentation, Metering and Gas Chromatograph/ Analyzers.
Laboratory Chemist (Field)
Profile: MSc. (Chemistry) from an HEC recognized institution, 8-10 years of experience, preferably working in amine system in oil & gas field/petrochemical plant.

Candidates must have completed at least 5 years of structured postgraduate training in a reputable institution. S/he should possess FCPS equivalent with 1-2 years post fellowship experience.
SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICERS/MEDICAL OFFICERS, EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Candidate must have at least 2-5 years experience of Post MBBS in adult & Paediatric Medicine/ Surgery/ Family medicine. Applicants with structured residency training or emergency experience will be preferred. Applicants must have a valid PMDC license.
