Position: Senior Project Officer
Project: Strengthening Humanitarian Assistance – Capacity Building Program
Location: Islamabad
Major Responsibilities:
Planning, implementation, monitoring and management of Quality and Accountability (HAP, Sphere, INEE), DRR, School Safety Program, and Humanitarian Protection projects, at sub-regional and regional level.
Conducting orientation, trainings and workshops on Q & A in local languages and English
Review, planning, monitoring and evaluation of activities of SHA at sub-regional and regional level.
Exploring funding opportunities and developing proposals to raise funds for the sustainability of Q&A related capacity building activities at sub-regional and regional level.
Develop consultancy contracts and agreements for short and long term consultancies.
Conducting and following advocacy and lobbying activities related to Q&A initiatives with all potential stakeholders to raise awareness on standards and principles of Q&A and to expand network.
Networking and coordination with partners and other Q&A initiatives such as URD GROUPE, INEE, and NGOs, INGOs, UN and Govt officials; attend UN cluster meetings and other forums when required.
Provide regular SHA reporting and updates to share information as well to increase SHA visibility.
Ensure strong documentation and timely donor reporting.
Skills Required:
Sound knowledge of Q & A initiatives, specifically HAP and Sphere
Familiar with the use of Sphere and HAP, particularly in the field
4-5 years experience in quality and accountability related work and capacity building in Pakistan
Excellent training and facilitation skills in English and Urdu;
Ability to represent the organization at various levels in-country and at regional-international levels
Committed and motivated to promote Quality & Accountability using creative approaches aside training
Ability to travel in-country, sub-region and the region as and when required
