Job Type: Full Time, regular direct position

A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, is
expected with five or more years of work related experience and the ability
to translate customer requests into individual technical proposals. The
desired candidate must have excellent technical sales skills, including
proposal writing and presentations. A strong base of experience in pumps,
compressors, turbines or engines and related systems is required. Some
travel will be required. Knowledge of computer software (Office, Excel,
CRM) is expected.

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales - Engineering Services, this
position will take a lead role in the turbomachinery engineering sales area.
The individual will need to match the company's capabilities and resources
in turbomachinery engineering to the needs of the customer. Acting as a
principal customer interface, the Sales Manager requires a thorough
technical knowledge of turbomachinery engineering, including the
application, design, and operation of combustion and steam turbines,
compressors, pumps, fans/blowers, and turbochargers. The individual will
work with other departments, in particular the Engineering Group, to develop
proposals that meet the client's needs. An ability to work independently
and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills, is essential.
Responsibilities include developing plans for future growth, working with
CRM tools for tracking business activity and market trends, developing
forecasts for resource planning, preparing technical proposals and cost
estimates, following-up on open proposals and taking necessary action to
close sales, and making effective presentations to customers.
