Required Skills
Minimum Associates Degree in Engineering field or equivalent.
5 to 7 years experience in metalworking industry.
Computer skills required with knowledge of Oracle a plus.
Prefer candidates who have worked in a Lean Manufacturing environment and
have a proven track record in managing change.
Responsibilities:
* Perform a wide variety of process duties in analyzing and correcting
production, cost, or quality problems for a wide variety of machine,
assembly, bench and processing work. Work with Engineering, Production,
Inspection or other personnel to obtain any pertinent data with regards to
operations, tooling, equipment or materials as circumstances indicate. Must
have problem solving ability to develop corrective measures required by
revising sequence or nature of operations, tooling, equipment or other
pertinent factors.
* Lay out or designate changes in tooling or equipment, instruct
designers concerning same.
* Team with suppliers and equipment manufacturers and make
recommendations as to desirable and cost savings features.
* Initiate work orders, purchase requisitions or other papers bearing
on assigned projects, follow up and expedite any required action, instruct
personnel concerned, check results.
