Manager Accounting & Compliance Job in USA NJ Job

Job Description:
We have partnered with a large Pharmaceutical Company to provide them with a Manager Accounting &Compliance in Parsippany, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the overall financial compliance for the OTC business units of North America (NA) as well as serve as the Accounting Manager of Canada OTC. Extensive knowledge in Sox 302 and 404 is required.

Qualifications:
This position will be responsible for supporting the overall financial compliance for the OTC business units of North America (NA) as well as serve as the Accounting Manager of Canada OTC. Specifically, the responsibilities include the following:

Oversee the Sox compliance initiatives including:
The documentation of processes and related controls
The testing of those controls.
Sox 302 and 404 attestations for NA OTC.
Ensure that each functional area within NA OTC is aware of SOX compliance requirements as it relates to their specific area
Improve the company's internal controls when necessary by suggesting process improvements aligned with best practices and the Financial Controls Manual.
Help manage internal and external audits, including effective follow up and implementation of prescribed actions
Manage the operation of the Canada OTC General Accounting Department
Review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Manual, GAAP and International Accounting Standards.
Provide leadership and direction to staff in order to achieve department goals and objectives.

Skills Minimum:
Bachelors degree in Accounting required. 6+ years of internal controls and general accounting experience. In depth knowledge of: financial principles preferably directly related to a consumer product business, financial systems, Sox 302 & 404 requirements and financial spreadsheets (Excel). Must possess good problem solving, communication and project management skills. 3+ years of staff management experience.

Preferred:
CPA preferred with 8 to 12 years of internal controls and general accounting experience in a large manufacturing company. In depth knowledge of: financial principles preferably directly related to a consumer product business, financial systems, Sox 302 & 404 and financial spreadsheets (Excel). Prior experience with SAP. Requires a well-organized and disciplined individual able to set priorities and handle multiple projects under tight time constraints. Must possess good problem solving, communication and project management skills. 5+ years of staff management experience.
