Vacancy for a “Technical Lead� Storefront Team, Technology Department /Karachi

The Technical Lead designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software
programming applications. Participate in the testing process through test review
and analysis. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
within a particular field. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines
to perform the functions of the job. Work under immediate supervision. This
position requires solid coding experience on platform and a proven track record
of developing complex, web-based applications in an n-tier architectural
environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Development of an ecommerce shopping cart with WebSphere Commerce Server.
* Responsible for WebSphere development and run-time subject matter expert.
Hands-on support for application enhancements, application
extensions, integration testing, integration development and cutover activities.
* Responsible for design and development of application extensions and
integration modules and schemes for WebSphere Commerce with third party services
and systems.
* Position will be focused on java coding, unit and integration testing and may
include some design activities.

* System Designing & Flow (UML & DB Models).
* Ensures that code meets specifications. Writes code that is easily
maintainable. Is able to debug own code for preliminary testing. Must practice
standard software development methodologies and standards.
* Enhance, modify, and repair existing code.
* Participate in and provide input into the design, re-design and development
of technology products and applications.
* Ensure code meets requirements specifications.
* Lead root-cause analysis, communicate options for resolution and provide
recommendations to customer-facing technology problems.
* Accurately predict time required to complete development tasks.
* Mentor junior level software engineers on technical issues.
* Promote positive tone and high standards of quality within the group or
department, and serves as a model to other team members.
* Adheres to 360training' s vision, values, and principles.
* Exhibits a positive and "can do" attitude towards peers, colleagues, and
customers.
* Will be involved in the full software development life-cycle in coordination
with other engineers, QA, and designers and should be confident and adept in
articulating ideas in a clear, well thought out manner.


Requirement

Knowledge/Skills:
· Extensive experience in IBM Rational Application Developer
· Hands on Experience and Specialties in IBM Websphere Commerce 6/7
(Development) for different Store type(i.e B2C & B2B Stores, Extended Sites
Stores)

* Experience in web application development using J2EE technologies such as
EJB, JSP, JSTL, Struts, Servlets, JDBC, Java
* Hands-on Experience in Development of Custom Data Bean, Entity Bean,
Controller Command, Task Command.

* Hands-on Experience in Store and Accelerator Customization.
* Hand-on Expereince in Developing (Inbound/Outbound) WebService using
WebSphere Commerce Webservice Framework.
* Should have experience of Configuring different Types of Emails
* Expertise in administrating and maintaining both production and development
environments.
* Deployment of different modules(EJB Module, Webservice Module, Stores.war,
partial application deployment) on server.

* Experience in installing, configuring and administrating Websphere
Application Server 6/7 and Web servers such as IBM HTTP server, Apache and IIS.
* Good knowledge in Relational Databases including DB2 UDB 7.2, MySQL and SQL
Server 2000 using all types of JDBC drivers.
* Very strong work experience in frameworks like STRUTS, SPRING, Hibernate,
Toplink etc.

* Must have experience working in a team production environment.
* Having good techniques to trouble shoot issue on Production, QA and
development servers
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Dependable, Enthusiastic, Motivated, Team Player, Detail Oriented.
* Great Communication Skills.
* Ability to learn new tools quickly to get the job done.


Qualification required

BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or
related field of study + Minimum 5 years of development experience
