Primary Responsibilities:
· Design, architect, implement and document platform, infrastructure and application code written in core Java
· Define and lead the implementation of complex, multi-tier distributed software applications hosted on t...he web
· Effectively interact with clients’ very senior software engineers/architects to design and develop additional
platform, infrastructure and application code
Requirements:
* Very strong core Java skills; irresistible urge to create efficient code and optimize it even more (be prepared to
write code during the interview)
* 7+ years of large scale, full lifecycle development experience and at least 3 years as a lead engineer, preferably
at a high-volume web company
* 5+ years using and developing in core Java
* Experience working with other organizations such as Operations, Load & Performance, Security, Build/Release,
QA and Training
* Experience in distributed multi-tier systems
* Solid Experience using Windows and UNIX/Linux
* Solid knowledge of XML, HTTP/HTML/JS/CSS, Servlets, XSLT
* Extensive experience developing frameworks or other infrastructure code that other developers will use
* Extensive experience in designing and implementing large server software with particular attention to security,
scalability and high performance
* Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus
Very Strong Plus:
* Open source development and/or interaction with Open Source projects/people.
* Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
* Groovy & Grails experience
* Adobe Flex/Flash experience
