VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT
The Education and Literacy Department, Project Management Unit, Sindh Elementary Teacher Training Project (CIDA), a Project of Government of Sindh, requires the services of individuals for the following positions to work at the Project Management Unit, purely on temporary basis extendable subject to requirement of the job.


Name of Post: Project Director
Qualification: MA/M.Sc in Social Sciences/MBA from recognized University
Job Description:
  • Provide the overall leadership to this project and to handle its planning and execution as per broad vision of the project.
  • Project Director will work as Financial Head/DDO and administration Head of the Project
  •  He would be responsible for managing the Project Management Unit geared towards a most effective and efficient Project implementation.
  • The Project Director would be responsible for ensuring that the project achieves all the envisaged objectives in a year effective manner and facilitate a very effective staff development Program
Experience and Age
  • At least 8 to 10 years experience in the planning Administration and execution of projects in Public sector or having experience of managing social sector projects with donor agencies or private sector.
  • Having a deep understanding of handling staff development projects.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 50 years.
Name of the Post: Project Engineer
Qualification: B.E (Civil) from a recognized University
Job Description:
  • Preparing Annual work plans and Proposals for the civil works of the of the institute PC-1, in coordination with the education works Department.
  • Conducting surveys of the actual sites of the institutions and making detailed work plans in conjunction with the education works
  • Supervising the civil works and ensuring quality control and proper workmanship as per the detailed plan/estimate.
  • Preparing financial estimates and annual work plans of all civil works of concerned institutions and assessing feasibility of such proposed works
  • Monitoring of all the civil works under this project and where required prepare review or revised proposals estimates for civil works.
  • To prepare PC –iV after the completion of the project
Experience and Age:
  • At least 05 years  experience of engineering designs /technical/ planning  in different projects in Public sector
  • Age Limit: Maximum 50 years.
Name of the Post: MIS Specialist
Qualification: M.Sc. (Computer Science)/BE Computer System/Software Engineer from a recognized University
Job Description:
  • Development of project website and update all necessary information on net.
  • To assist in establishing the Cell/Center for database and framing network of career planning of teachers / administrators.
  • Maintain the HRM initiatives through programming.
  • Establish database for all the In-Service teachers in Sindh Education Department.
  • Link MIS database with an expert inference enquiries.
  • Propose and Plan and implement further advancement with regard to the establishment of one control room with full detailed facilities of projection through computers/internet/MIS/Multi Media etc.

Experience and Age:
·         Atleast 5 years experience of handling MIS or Human Resources in any reputable organization.
·         Age Limit: Maximum 45 years.

       Name of the Post:  Manager- Admin. And Accounts
      Qualification: MBA/ M.Com from a recognized University
      Job Description:
·         Manage the overall Administration of the Project including Human Resource Management and General Administration.
·         Maintain the project accounts and be responsible for handling all financial matters of the project including budgeting, budget execution, financial reporting, reconciling and setting the required Audits conducted.
·         Responsible for accounting of budget and expenditure against appropriate head of accounts
Experience and Age:
  •     At least  03 years experience of administration/planning/execution of projects in public or private sector.
  • Age Limit:Maximum 50 years.

Name of the Post: System Analyst
Qualification: M.Sc(Computer Science) BCS/BSIT
Job Description:
  • Responsible for the operating system and associated subsystems provides system-level support of multi-user operating systems, Hardware and Software tools, including installation, Configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems. Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources.
Experience and Age:
  • At least 3 years experience in Ms Office , Ms-Excel and Windows/ graphics with maximum speed of typing in public/ private sector.
Name of the Post: Procurement specialist
Qualifications: BE(Civil Engineering with qualification in Finance)
Job Description:
  • Plan and advice on procurement related issues.
  • Develop & implement the entire procurement processes from issuances of notices to preparation of documents, evaluation of bids and finalization of contract documents.
  • Manage and monitor contractual obligations.
  • Prepare, organize and maintain contract records and contract performance and compliance reports along with their responses.
  • Any other task assigned by the Project Director.
Experience and Age:
  • At least  five years experience, with experience in Funded projects.
  • Knowledge of SPPRA rules and other procurement rules will be considered as a plus.
The Project Management Unit (PMU) , Sindh Elementary Teacher Training Project, Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, invites eligible individuals to indicate their interest in providing the services. The appointment will be made on contract basis , renewable on performance appraisals of set targets. An attractive remuneration Package will be negotiated on the basis of qualification and experience.
