Sales Manager
Educational Requirements:
The desired candidate must have a degree in Commerce with minimum 4 to 5 years experience, or 15+ years' industry experience and supervision.
Essential Skills & Competencies include, but not limited to, the following:
•Extensive experience in Oil & Gas Industry (Upstream and/or Downstream)
•Good business acumen: planning, revenue growth, unit margin, cost of sales
•Good managerial skills: analysis, reporting, control, conflict resolution, performance management & coaching
•Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Proficient in English (written and spoken)
•Excellent command on inquiry (RFQ)s, bidding, and sales life cycles
•Excellent understanding of quote-winning mechanism
Tasks Description:
•The primary responsibility is to plan and manage sales performance to forecast and Divisional KPIs and ensure growth in revenue and improve profit margins.
•Develop and successfully implement annual sales plans
•Manage and track the sales staff operations and daily work. Conduct performance evaluation and make recommendations.
•Manage, control and report the sales cycle monthly performance, report gaps in performance, and make recommendations.
•Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary and margin requirements.
•Improve work flows and sales processes (offer, PO, invoice & collections)
•Prepare and analyze periodic sales report including screening sales volume, potential sales, and propose areas of client-base expansion. 7) Analyze and understand the competitive environment in the marketplace
•Meet with key clients, assisting sales engineers by maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals. Must be ready to represent individual sales engineers in all sales aspects as required.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Year-Over-Year Sales productivity (Percent PO's to Quotes)
•Sales performance goals (quarterly revenue rate, sales to forecast, assumption accuracy, cost of sales)
•Inquiry flow (account maintenance)
•Unit/Contribution margin maintenance and improvement
